Foundation Stage 2 – A Thriving Learning Environment
Foundation Stage 1 (FS1) at Crest Bridge International School is an exciting phase where children aged 3 to 4 engage in exploratory, self-directed learning through meaningful play. Our approach nurtures curiosity, creativity, and collaboration, fostering essential social, physical, cognitive, and emotional development. A balance of child-initiated and teacher-led activities encourages students to investigate, question, and build the foundations for lifelong learning.
Building on FS1 foundations, FS2 focuses on reading, writing, and mathematics through interactive lessons, small-group activities, and play. A structured phonics approach strengthens literacy skills, while vocabulary and listening comprehension are integrated into all learning experiences. With a balance of instruction and exploration, FS2 ensures a seamless transition into primary education.
At Crest Bridge International School, we foster mathematical fluency through hands-on activities that enhance counting, problem-solving, and number comprehension. These practical applications help children grasp core mathematical concepts by encouraging reasoning and deeper understanding.
In FS2, scientific exploration is nurtured through inquiry-based learning. Children experiment, observe, and ask questions about how things work, developing critical thinking and curiosity. Our teachers guide them to explore cause-and-effect relationships, making learning an exciting and interactive experience.
